Assistance

The Budkis Fund exists to help low-income seniors in the Puget Sound area of Washington State cover the cost of urgent veterinary bills.

Expenses that may be covered include surgical procedures and humane euthanasia.

We do not cover diagnostic procedures, routine vet exams, vaccines, or spay and neuter procedures.

All requests for assistance must come from veterinarians, and vet medical records will be reviewed prior to granting assistance.

Please note: Assistance is limited to low-income senior residents of the Puget Sound area of Washington State.

For assistance outside of our service area, or for those who do not qualify for The Budkis Fund, please check the comprehensive list of resources provided by The Humane Society of the United States.

The Budkis Fund works directly with veterinarians. Please have your veterinarian complete the form below to start the review process to determine if we can help. Since we work directly with veterinarians, requests for assistance must come from your pet’s veterinarian. We will provide instructions to your veterinarian that will explain the process in detail. You and your vet will each be required to submit information to The Budkis Fund, and relevant medical records must be provided to determine whether our fund will be able to assist.
